Fleet Satisfaction Leads to Extended Three Year Charter Deal

Geest Line has renewed the charters of its existing four reefer ships for the next three years in a vote of confidence for the future.

The Seatrade-owned vessels - Klipper Stream, Agulhas Stream, Benguela Stream and Timor Stream - have had a successful first year operating in Geest Line colours, having provided additional cargo space compared to the previous chartered ships.

They are also more environmentally friendly with fewer emissions, besides offering the food seakeeping ability that helps Geest to maintain its demanding transatlantic schedules.

Geest Line Operations Director Peter Dixon explained: "It is the first time we have put our charter arrangements under a three-year agreement and reflects the satisfaction that we have with the ships and our confidence in the volumes of trade to the Caribbean going forward."
